Christian Hope for Families Affected by Addiction
I am delighted to announce that my latest book, Faith in the Storm, is now available on Amazon.
Living alongside addiction can bring fear, uncertainty and emotional exhaustion. This book offers gentle Christian encouragement for those difficult days, drawing on biblical wisdom, prayer and practical reflection.
Faith in the Storm is a reminder that, even when life feels overwhelming, we are not alone. Faith does not always remove the storm—but it can give us the strength and hope to keep going through it.
Part of the Hope Beyond Addiction series by Andrew Jones.

Read articleWhy I write
I’m Andrew Jones. I began writing because the families and partners affected by addiction are too often the quiet, forgotten people in the story. My books draw on personal experience, the mistakes I made, and the lessons that helped me find firmer ground.
I cannot promise easy answers. I can offer honesty, practical encouragement and the reassurance that protecting your own wellbeing is not selfish.
A note on how this work is created: Hope Beyond Addiction is built upon Andrew Jones’s lived experience. AI tools are sometimes used to assist with drafting, editing, design and presentation. Andrew personally reviews and approves everything published under his name.
For organisations and professionals
Hope Beyond Addiction offers independent books and reflections for partners, relatives and friends affected by someone else’s alcohol or drug use. Written from personal experience, the resources explore enabling, boundaries, self-care, recovery and realistic hope in clear, compassionate language.
They may be useful alongside the work of family-support organisations, treatment and recovery services, counsellors, peer-led groups, community teams, libraries and pastoral-care teams.
Complimentary digital copies are available to organisations and practitioners who would like to assess whether a book may be helpful to the people they support.
The books can be considered for professional resource libraries, family-support signposting, guided reflection and discussion within appropriate support settings.
Andrew welcomes appropriate invitations to contribute written articles, interviews, online talks or discussions. Considerable travel may not always be practical, but remote participation is welcomed.
There is no obligation to review, recommend, promote or endorse the books. Hope Beyond Addiction is based on lived experience rather than clinical expertise and is intended to complement—not replace—professional treatment, counselling, safeguarding or established family-support services.
Faith in the Storm is available separately for churches, Christian organisations and pastoral teams. The wider Hope Beyond Addiction collection welcomes readers of all faiths and none.
There can be life beyond constant fear. There can be peace without denial. There can be love with boundaries. There can be hope beyond addiction.
